The first restaurant in Singapore to debut on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2009, 1-Michelin star Iggy’s is a contemporary European restaurant that is committed to serving gourmet delights reflecting the dynamic trends of the international culinary scene adapted to the local palate.

This July, Iggy’s presents a gastronomic menu that showcases the freshest seasonal produce from around the world. Deftly crafted with European techniques and philosophies, indulge in dishes like Amadai with Japanese Black Mussels, Shungiku and Ohba, as well as Striploin with A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, 45-days Aged Angus and Pied Bleu.

About Head Chef Jake Lee

Chef Jake hails from Perak in Malaysia, where his culinary career started when he was 17 years old. While waiting for his examination results, he worked as a part time waiter in a Chinese restaurant in his hometown. His interest in food was piqued when he got to taste the different Chinese dishes and he was soon transferred to the kitchen to assist the dim sum chef. His curiosity and interest continued to grow and he decided after working for a year and half that he should enrol himself in a culinary school where he learned about western cooking. Upon graduation, Chef Jake moved to the capital state, Kuala Lumpur, where he worked at Il Lido and Sage for close to five years. He then decided to move to Singapore to hone his skills, where he worked at Oso Italian restaurant for two years and joined Iggy’s in 2017 as Chef de Partie, where he quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed Head Chef in July 2019.

Founder and Culinary Director, Ignatius Chan found Chef Jake’s skills in handling premium produce, precise cooking skills and in-depth knowledge of produce from this part of the world a perfect fit as Head Chef at Iggy’s. Chef Jake works closely with Director Chan to curate a menu that embodies the philosophy of Iggy’s: to create a contemporary European restaurant that is always rooted in its sense of place – Singapore and Southeast Asia. They collaborate in the sourcing of premium seasonal ingredients and presenting them in creations that are international and yet has familiar flavours – a dining experience uniquely Iggy’s.
